Thanks for attending!

Thanks for attending!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Women in Contracting events across Australia. We learned a lot from every guest, and have so much to think about as we plan not only our next round of events, but also our wider strategy for achieving all that needs to be done for women in the electrical contracting industry.

Where to from here?

So, what’s next for WiC? Well, first and foremost we encourage you to apply for the Women in Contracting Committee.

WiC Advisory Committee members will provide advice and counsel to MEA management on issues that relate to the development of women in contracting roles.

The WiC Advisory Committee will engage with and enhance the lives of women in the electrical industry and encourage them to voice their opinion on the profession and challenges faced. It will identify and implement a variety of initiatives that will benefit MEA through the growth and engagement of members and non-members.

If that sounds like something you’re interested in, please apply here.

Keep the conversation going

We encourage everyone to stay tuned to our WiC Conversations blog for new posts each week. WiC Conversations is a place for you to continue your personal and professional development by learning new things and re-framing the way you think about particular issues. We post each and every week, and you can check it out here.

Have something you’d like to contribute? Our Facebook Group is the place for you. Join us there to discuss the latest industry news, or start a conversation yourself. You can also see photos from each event (and tag yourself while you’re there!).

A quick recap

We found that topics of discussion at each event were fairly similar across Australia. Our blog post recaps them all for you. Check it out here.
